MARK and KATHY are on their way to a second honeymoon in Machu Pichu when their plane is delayed in Santiago, Chile. Kathy convinces her husband to go on a tour of the nearby ‘Tierra de Sangre’ vineyard while they wait for an alternate flight. There they meet LOUISA, a bright young tour guide. Mark and Kathy twist Louisa’s arm into telling them the real story behind the vineyard’s legendary name. She surpasses all their expectations with the tale of a young girl, MAGDALENA, who marries the mysterious French owner of the vineyard LOUIS. Their love affair and cultivation of the vine is interrupted by the surprise arrival of ETIENNE, Louis’ younger brother. Etienne ruthlessly takes control of the vineyard from the couple. Meanwhile, whispers of a terrifying, bloodsucking monster swirl around the deaths of nearby villagers. Magdalena suspects that Etienne and the monster are somehow connected, leading her on a journey where she will discover an extraordinary truth about these brothers and the ultimate power of the vine.
